I. Privacy Governance
NickClean is engineered as an autonomous utility. Our technical objective is to refine your device performance without ever establishing a digital footprint of your personal identity or file contents.
Localized Analytical Mandate
NickClean identifies redundant APK files, uninstalled app residues, and temporary system caches.
The Access Boundary: To execute these functions, the application requires "All Files Access."
Zero Migration: Every computational cycle used to analyze your storage occurs exclusively on your physical device. We do not maintain server-side databases to mirror your file metadata, names, or contents. Your storage environment remains air-gapped from our developers.
Technical Ecosystem & Third-Party Platforms
While your personal files remain local, NickClean interfaces with limited third-party services to ensure software resilience and measure installation reach.
- Firebase (Google): Employed for real-time diagnostic reporting. In the event of a software exception, a pseudonymized crash log (hardware model, OS version, and error code) is generated to help us maintain the app.
- Attribution & Analytics (e.g., Adjust, AppsFlyer): These tools identify the commercial origin of an installation. They process technical identifiers such as your Advertising ID (GAID or IDFA).
- Data Isolation: These partners are contractually prohibited from inspecting your local storage or associating technical signals with your real-world persona.
Legal Foundations for Processing
We handle technical signals based on the following legal pillars:
- Contractual Necessity: Local processing of your file system is the essential service you have engaged us to perform.
- Legitimate Interests: We utilize pseudonymized technical IDs to defend against fraudulent activity, resolve software bugs, and evaluate our distribution efficiency.
Retention & Data Lifecycle
- Operational Metadata: Information regarding files flagged for deletion exists only in volatile memory during an active session and is cleared upon task completion.
- Telemetry Logs: Non-identifiable data held by third-party partners is retained for the minimum period required for aggregate performance reporting—typically 12 to 24 months—before being purged.
Your Rights of Sovereignty
We uphold your authority over your data through the following guarantees:
- Right of Access & Knowledge: You have the right to know if your data is shared or sold. NickClean does not sell your personal data. Sharing is strictly limited to the technical operational partners listed in Section 2.
- Right to Rectification: You may demand the correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal/technical data processed by us or our partners.
- Right to Erasure (Deletion): You can request the total deletion of your data. Deleting the NickClean app immediately wipes all local session history. For partner-level telemetry, our DPO can facilitate a purge request.
- Right to Complain: You have the explicit right to contact a data protection authority or regulatory body in your jurisdiction if you believe our practices are non-compliant.
Choice & Opt-Out Mechanisms
- Blocking Data Sale/Sharing: While we do not "sell" data, you can prevent technical sharing by enabling "Limit Ad Tracking" (iOS) or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (Android) within your system settings.
- Permission Revocation: You may withdraw storage access at any time through your device settings, which will instantly terminate all application functionality.

II. End-User License Agreement (EULA)
License Grant
NickClean grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the software on a single device for personal, non-commercial maintenance, subject to these terms.
Acceptable Use Restrictions
By utilizing NickClean, you agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the scanning logic.
- Use the application to intentionally interfere with system-critical files required for device stability.
- Modify, redistribute, or commercially exploit the software in any form.
Intellectual Property
The NickClean name, branding, and proprietary algorithms remain the exclusive property of the developer. No ownership rights are transferred to you under this license.
Disclaimer of Warranty
NickClean is provided "AS IS." While we strive for absolute precision, we do not warrant that the application will identify every piece of redundant data or remain entirely free from technical errors. Users are responsible for reviewing items flagged for removal before confirming deletion.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NickClean and its creators shall not be liable for any accidental loss of data, performance issues, or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
Termination
This agreement is effective until terminated by you (via uninstallation). We reserve the right to revoke your license immediately if you violate any terms of this EULA.
